VoiceCon Spring 2007 is a yearly conference held specifically for those in the telephony industry and it is not too late to register. VoiceCon is scheduled for March 5th through March 8th in Orlando Florida. This year’s conference will focus heavily on IP Telephony. IP Telephony stands for Internet Protocol Telephony, which means, voice services by means of the Internet, rather than through traditional means like a phone line. Many companies like Vonage have started to hit the mainstream consumer market, but IP Telephony is only in its beginning stages.
Many experts in the telephony industry believe there should be a unified communications system, which would allow customers to increase productivity and improve responsiveness to consumers, partners, and colleagues. The unified system would merge traditional messaging systems and conferencing tools with things like instant messaging and online video conferencing/streaming. To alleviate concerns about the quality of IP Telephony, service providers are competing fiercely to reach the point where a person could be most anywhere without hindering quality.
At the VoiceCon Spring 2007 conference, Advocate Networks will see first-hand how other large, internationally recognized companies are integrating their own IP Telephony platforms and hear why they have chosen them. Advocate Networks will also hear about the latest policies, processes, and industry trends that can be applied directly to the Atlanta market.
Some of the sessions during VoiceCon Spring 2007 will focus on the following issues: IP-PBX system architectures and features; IP-PBX Pricing/Licensing; SIP; leveraging the IP Telephony Platform by unifying communications and advanced applications; next-generation contact centers; IP-PBX system security and survivability; mobility; and organizational impacts from migrating to IP Telephony and converged networks.
VoiceCon Spring 2007 will hold keynote presentations by the following executives:
