IT industry veteran Bob Landstrom recently joined Advocate Networks to lead a new Strategy and Planning Practice. Landstrom is using experiences gained working for major companies like The Home Depot, CheckFree Corporation, and E*Trade to develop a suite of new services for companies that want assistance crafting their IT strategic vision.
"Most companies operate with minimal IT support," Landstrom says. "They don't have the staff, bandwidth, or time to look beyond daily tactical activities. The Strategy and Planning Practice provides a new set of eyes. Clients are telling us they appreciate the fresh perspective and expertise we contribute to the technology planning process."
The practice currently offers services in Business Continuity Planning, IT Strategy and Technology Roadmaps, Alignment of IT with Strategic Business Intent, IT Service Catalogs, Strategic Convergence, Data Center Planning, Information Security, and Business Process Mapping.
When Landstrom isn't immersed in technology, he enjoys playing ice hockey on two amateur teams and coaching his sons Juergen, 13, and Broedy, 9, in their youth leagues. He's also a professional artist who creates contemporary paintings and sculptures using paint, wood, paper, metal, and other natural and found materials. He is represented by the Trinity Gallery (www.trinitygallery.com) in Atlanta.
