ADVOCATE NETWORKS
NAMED FINALIST FOR 2006 CLIENT ADVISOR AWARD

Advocate Networks placed as a finalist for a 2006 Client Advisor Award (CAA) for fostering and growing client-adviser relationships.

Advocate Networks was nominated for saving its clients an average of 38 percent on telecommunications costs. The nomination cited the work Advocate Networks performed for one of its clients, a large publicly traded financial services company. Advocate Networks completed a corporate-wide inventory and requirements compilation for outsourcing the worldwide investment management company’s voice, data, and wireless services. Next, it facilitated a contract with the chosen outsourcing provider, which saved the company $5 million annually.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE CASE STUDY:
WELLSTAR HEALTH SYSTEM

Before WellStar Health System’s former manager of telecommunications, Kirk Walsh, met with Tim Wise and Scott Fogle, co-presidents of Advocate Networks, in October 2001, his hopes were not high that the pair would be of help. Walsh told them about an experience he’d had with a contingency-fee telecommunications consultant; it was not good. Nevertheless, he reluctantly agreed to a meeting with Advocate–which works on a project fee–to review Wellstar’s telecommunications systems. He liked what he heard and shortly thereafter Advocate Networks and Wellstar began working together. That relationship is still blossoming as Advocate Networks continues to provide services and new ways for the health system to save money.

NORMAN HARBER
CHOSEN AS PRINCIPLE OF STRATEGIC MOBILITY

Advocate Networks recently added Norman Harber, a renowned IT and mobility expert, to the Advocate Networks team. Harber will serve as principal of the company’s Strategic Mobility practice.

Harber will be responsible for growing the practice. He will oversee a team of seven senior consultants who use Advocate Networks’ proprietary methods that analyze businesses’ mobility and technology systems based on each professional’s role and job function within an organization. Using the results of the analysis, the team will assess, recommend, and implement strategic plans regarding next generation phone systems and the convergence of multiple communication technologies.

MOBILE BUSINESS

Imagine a company’s mobile operations–PDAs, cell phones, laptops, and voicemail services–actually breaking even on its cost or, better yet, making money on it. One of the biggest problems businesses face today is that the more mobile their businesses become, the more their technology bills soar. That is why one of our goals at Advocate Networks is to develop individual ways for each company’s mobility service to become an enabler instead of a cost center. What if you could actually make money or break even on your mobility costs? Advocate Networks helps companies put a mobility plan into place that over time does that exactly.
