Out Front Exceptional Clients and Success Advocate Networks recently celebrated its 6th anniversary – and was named to the Inc. 5,000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies and Catalyst Magazines Top 25 Entrepreneurs. Those are great honors for our company, but a lot of the credit has to go to our clients. Much of our success is the result of what Creative Growth Group (CGG) president Andrew Dietz defines as exceptional clients. Dietz says, Exceptional clients help their advisors get more out of each engagement by following certain best practices. CGG defines these as collaboration, creativity, content and value-orientation, capability, and credibility. At Advocate Networks, we've been lucky to work with many exceptional clients. They help us to shine by viewing our engagements as collaborations and making us part of their teams. (In fact, many clients include our Telerazor managed service as part of their organizational chart.) Exceptional clients encourage us to use our creativity to think outside the box. As for content and value-orientation, they share a perspective for the engagement or service that extends beyond tracking project metrics, which is key since some aspects of value defy traditional measurements. And they make our jobs easier by providing whatever capabilities are needed to stay engaged and help us achieve the best result. Finally, and most important, weve been blessed to work with exceptional clients who value credibility as much as we do. That shared commitment to integrity has provided an enduring foundation for our multiple relationships. In sum, I want to thank ALL of our clients for being exceptional. Tim Wise, |

The financial folks at Mirant like found money as much as anyone, but it didnt seem like going after a Telecom Federal Excise Tax (FET) refund was worth their time. We looked at it internally several times, says Sharon Hall, the energy companys director
for tax. We had manpower constraints, and it seemed time-consuming to go after the refund.
When we talked to outside firms, they wanted to charge a lot to do the analysis. About the Team Advocate Networks senior consultant and director Marco Kuysten disguises his European heritage with a subtle accent prompting many to ask, Where did you grow up? Was it Canada? Germany? What about Belgium? As it turns out, Marco is from The Netherlands, a Northern European country many people simply refer to as Holland. Most think of windmills, wooden shoes, and the 'Red Light District' when they hear where Im from, he laughs. However, they are missing the rich history, beautiful countryside, and modern ports that make us the gateway to Europe. Advocate Honored by Catalyst Magazine and Inc.com
